I was just sent to your blog from Ashley’s edibleperspective. I was in Arch school with her at UNCC, so I have lived in Charlotte as well. I’m a yoga and running freak and am just getting into this whole blogging world (I know, so slow). I’m training for my first triathlon coming up in September (the Ramblin’ Rose in Charlotte actually). I live in Eastern NC about an hour away from Topsail (I read your moving around post). Good luck with the move. Looking forward to reading more of your blog.
Hi Emily – I really love your blog! I also live in Charlotte… so sad to hear you’re moving but I wish you the best of luck!! Also you mentioned the flowy Target workout tops that you’re having a hard time finding….I have two of them (LOVE them also) and I looked today and the Target on Albemarle Road has them (in every size).
Just started reading your blog (found you via Caitlin’s blog) and love it!! I was born and raised in DC and just recently moved to Arlington – you’ll love it here! :)
found your blog and love it! we’re thinking of moving to charlotte in october (it’s either there or atlanta) and I was wondering if you had any tips of where we should look for fun places to live. not really sure what the differences between south end, dilworth, and uptown are!
I hope I can find as many new friends as you did in charlotte!
So glad you found the blog!! How cool that you are moving to Charlotte. If we were staying here, we would want to live in Dilworth, East Blvd., Myers Park areas – definitely the best!
Hi Emily!
I have been reading your blog for some time now and I love it! I love how fresh and creative your meals are. I admire your discipline and positive outlook on life. I enjoy cooking and eat pretty healthy, but I seem to have a hard time with boredom eating (when I’m home alone, or studying) and I was wondering if you have any tips on how to stop overeating?
Thanks Emily! Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to read about your new life in D.C.!
Thanks Regan! Over-eating is tough, I struggle with it too. My best defense is to eat a LOT of lower calories food like fresh vegetables and fruit, so that I don’t have to worry about portions quite as much. I also find that if I go to bed earlier, I am less tempted for a late night snack.
I don’t know if I found your blog via HLB or Sparkpeople. Either way I love what I’ve read so far and can’t wait to see how your future unfolds. Good luck with your move.
Hey Emily. I found your blog a couple weeks ago and love reading it. :) I’ve been going through all of your past post and pieced together the fact that you are a Colts fan, you have a dog name Indy and you currently live in Charlotte. I know you are moving to DC, but…are you originally from Indiana? I was thinking it was all a cool coincidence because I was born and raised in Indiana and now I live in Charlotte. :) Small world! :)
Love reading your blog! Best of luck in DC!

So glad you found the blog! You are correct on all counts. My husband is from Indianapolis, hence the Colts fans AND the dog named Indy. :) I am actually from Cincinnati. Too bad I missed meeting you in Charlotte!
